Scrappy Happy is a top!

I finally got all my parts sewn together.  Not completely finished but it is a top that can go in the waiting to be quilted area of the quilting closet.  I really am glad I took the time to cut all those small pieces of scraps into 1.5 inch squares and love that I found a use for the navy vintage background fabric that came from my mom's stash.  I usually name my quilts and this one hasn't been easy to name. So I am settling for Scrappy Happy!

    1. Good to have another ready to quilt for sure! Those scraps look so much better in a quilt than in a plastic tub!

  4. Your choice of the blue fabric for the setting was a good choice.

  5. I love it. It has such a vintage vibe. That blue fabric was a perfect addition. Are those white coneflowers? They look like my purple coneflowers but I've never seen white ones. I like how you have posed your quilt with the fence and flowers. Looking forward to your quilting on this later this year. It appears you will have quite a pile of flimsies that will need quilting. Not sure how you will be able to pick what will be first.

    1. I am glad I pulled it out of the closet before I went shopping and was so happy to have enough. I think I had about 6 inches to spare. I guess it was just meant to be!

  11. I love the zig zag setting you used for Scrappy Happy! It adds an extra design element and makes the pieced blocks the stars of the quilt!
